Meet Colton & Abby Martin
Colton and Abby are from Lancaster Pennsylvania. Their mutual love of the Rocky Mountains and western lifestyle lead them to relocate to Oak Creek Colorado in the summer of 2024.
Colton works for Fish and Cross Ranch helping with hay and cattle operations, as well as Pack Country Outfitters where he works as lead wrangler helping with summer recreation programs and guiding hunts.
Abby works as a reading resource aid at South Routt Elementary.

Beautiful Location
Pack Country Outfitters Horseback Riding offers more than just a nose-to-tail ride with trotting and loping opportunities for those who are comfortable. Horseback Riding Steamboat Springs area’s finest setting, on a working cattle ranch. Individual Horseback Riding Lessons available.
Our location just below the little Flattops with access to the expansive Routt National Forest provides for the perfect horseback outing. We’ll pair you with a horse that matches your personality and riding ability.
How long would you like to ride?
Our two hour ride takes you through gorgeous aspen meadows and along a scenic ridge with a rest-stop and photo op at a historic homestead.
Our half-day ride journeys through thick aspens, open wildflower-fields, and valley-view overlooks and includes a delicious lunch.
Our full day ride begins with a light breakfast and allows you to more fully explore the vast terrain, varied scenery, and unequalled beauty of the ranch and the surrounding forest. We will break in the middle of the day for a reenergizing lunch.
Overnight options
We also offer overnight accommodations for those who want to warm up with a shorter ride and then explore more the next day. Stay in our comfortable Lodge and then take a guided fishing trip via horseback to the Little Flattops’ high-mountain lakes.

1/2 day photo lunch and hot Tub ride
Start your ride at the Bear River Ranch (BRR) homestead, and traverse cross country through meadow, aspen and vistas at 9,000 feet for some of the most beautiful view of the Little Flat Tops. End your ride on the Fish and Cross Ranch where you will be met with a hearty lunch, full service facilities and the opportunity to soak in our Cowboy Hot Springs. Showers are available for changing. You will be taken back to the BRR via Auto for departure.
